Please someone help me with this problem: an exception of class runtimeexception was not handled. the application must shut down
I cannot more open my Filmotech and I haven't backup.
I wrote already with contact form but anyone answer me.
Thanks.
I saw, obviously you got it...
Some title seems to have incorrect characters, like the movie "SPOGLIAMOCI COS SENZA PUDOR".
Do you have imported them from an external file ?
Ok, I found 3 titles with wrong characters. I've updated them, the database opens as expected. I'll send you the corrected file.
Yes, I imported from a .csv text file, as usually and than I manually corrected characters "Ì" and "...." or others....
I have done always this and it's never corrupted anything. Every now and then that message pops up and the program closes, but then it always restarts....
I sent you the fixed database file. You need to delete the Filmotech_Preferences.xml again, then launch Filmotech and restore the fixed database.
If you want to edit a CSV file, use a tool made for coding, to avoid wrong character set and be sure it's always UTF-8 encoded
And activate automatic backup in Filmotech, this will copy your .data on another folder on a regular basis, so you can restore an uncorrupted database.
The automatic backup has always been active and I use LibreOffice to create CSV texts.
Did you sent me fixed database with Wetransfer?
Nothing has arrived yet, does it appear to have been sent correctly?
Ok, thank you. I'll try to see what happens.
I have to ask you a little thing: you didn't put the "soundtrack" field in the default list. Could you make a change and add it?
Adding new fields requires a lot of coding, so for now I don't plan to add news fields, sorry.
@filmotech That's ok, thanks anyway and thanks for your precious help. The program seems to be running fine as before, no problems.
