Is there a way we can create separate lists for different formats: 3D, 4K etc? Or even creating a separate data base for these formats?

Minor Issue with French appearing in English Published Website (index.php)

Hi! I noticed when publishing my catalog to the web in English, the search field initially reads "Search by Titre" instead of "Search by Title." And when choosing a different option from the "search by" pulldown, "Search by" becomes "Recherche par." It looks like these are tiny issues in lines 37 and 346 in index.php. See below:

I edited those lines in the generated file and it's fine now, but perhaps it's worth fixing in a future version? Not a big deal!

Possible to move database file?

I couldn't find an option in Preferences, but I was wondering if there was another way. (I'm on Windows, in case that helps.)

Web-Published Catalog Cuts off Genre Field, Breaking Search

Hi! When I publish my catalog to the web, it cuts off the Genre field after 50 characters. See below; the highlighted entry should end in "Western."

If it was only a display issue, that would be no problem. But if I search by "Genre" for "Western," that entry won't show up.

How can this be fixed?

"HTTP error 500 - Internal Server Error" When Publishing

Hi! I've tried publishing my catalog to my website, but I keep getting an "HTTP error 500 - Internal Server Error":

The files are uploaded to the server. I've tried with and without an Access Identifier (can I make it anything?). The folder is not protected by a username and password (.htaccess). I've created an SQL database and the name matches. The hostname, username, and password should all be correct.

What could I be doing be wrong?

In case it helps, my hosting is thru DreamHost.

I am confused by something.. I am using the IMDB TV script with the option for episodes selected; however, it doesn’t appear to be adding episodes to the listing. Am I missing something?

Update links function doesn't work

Hi,

First thanks for this awesome software, I really love it!
I recently changed a HDD in my machine so all links to movie are obsolete and need to be updated.
I used the 'Update links' feature but it only worked for few movies, not for all of them.

Can you please help me? I don't see myself changing the link manually for all the movies.

Not all films are synced to the web

Hi everybody,

setting up the web publishing thing on my website (after a bit of try&error I finally figured it out. @Filmotech a step by step instruction on how to do this would be really helpful!), I encountered the following problem:

Not all of the films in my list are being uploaded/synced to my website. In Filmotech it says I have 189 films, my website says 184. When I hit the publish button, the console tells me 5 films are being added to my website. When I check my website, those 5 films are still missing. When I hit the publish button again, same thing: it says 5 films are being added, still nothing happens.

Does anyone have any clue as to what this is about? Is it a bug maybe or could there be anything wrong with the database entries of those 5 films? I tried deleting and re-adding them, but that only helped in some cases.
I am on macOS Monterey, Filmotech v3.9.1.

Okay… maybe I’m just missing something, but I’ve looked through the forums and tried to follow instructions without success. I have a database in EMDB, but would also like to have the data in Filmotech. When I export to
a cab and then try to import, I get an error about exception class not found, nothing imports. Can anyone help me?

Scan only folder names within selected folder

Scanning & Re-scanning folders for movies works perfect for movies but for my collection of series this isn't working because I want not to (re)scan for all the media files within a folder but only for all folder names directly located within my collection folder (eg. collection/Friends, collection/Game of Thrones, ...) also without scanning subfolders. Is this possible?

scenario: I imported a csv list of movie titles, later I want to add the covers. I know that the name must be Filmotech _ #####.jpg (in reference to the ID of the list), but I have not found how to automatically import only all the covers. I only see that the import works if I load the csv and the covers at the same time. Putting them later one by one becomes so long ...

(sorry for my bad english). I was looking for a simple program to catalog my films and I discovered Filmotech, very interesting and suitable for the purpose. I had a catalog made with Excel and easily imported it into the program with a csv file.

Now I don't quite understand how to import the covers. Is there a way to import them at the same time and not one by one? What name should the image file have and what extension? Thank you

I was very excited to find this software. I have a Plex server in my home and need a cloud based option for seeing what is on my server as I don't want to make my Plex server available outside my local network. Filmotech would work perfect for me. I was using Colectorz but that was getting expensive. Your software works flawlessly on my PC but I am having issues trying to publish my collection to the web. I have built websites as a hobby and understand the basics, I have worked with FTP and I am just now scratching the surface on MySQL. What I struggle with is I cannot find detailed instructions on how to publish my data to a web site. The forums barely cover it and the FAQ is no help unless I am missing something. The https://www.filmotech.info/faq_en/doku.php/faq/first_steps/wizard is great as it shows step by step instructions (with pictures) on how to install the Filmotech software. I know there are a number of people out there that would appreciate the same type of detail in regards to publishing to the web (using pictures). I have done everything I can think of but cannot get the software to go past a certain point (see attached picture).

I keep getting: "Error in JSON file received" and cannot get any further.
I am using https://infinityfree.net/ as a web host.
I am thinking of trying another host to see if that fixes my connection issues.
So far I have only put one movie in my database for testing purposes.
Any help (hopefully detailed) would be greatly appreciated.

Automatic audio scan

imo the audiotracks are importend. But there is no way to read out automaticly the audiotrack from my medias.It's boring to type in all the information. And there are lots of information. Doly Digital, DTS, DTS:X Atmos and so on.
So my question is, are there other useres withe the same problem? How do you handle ist? And is it possible to automate this part during i read in new medias?

New to filmotech was trying out a few movie data base programs and when I started filmotech it asked to scan a folder and add any movies I did a test folder and it worked great problem is that was just a test how do I repeat it. Can filmotech re scan new folders its a great feature but not so good if you can only use it once. cant find anything in the menus

MySQL UTF8 collation bug

Hello, and thanks for a nice app.
I'm using mysql as DB. Database was created and collation was changed to "utf8_general_ci" (db, tables, fields). but when I importing CSV with UTF8 encoding Filmotech put incorrect data into DB (???? instead of some symbols).

I would be very grateful if you can help me, or fix this bug in next version. If you need additional information, please ask.

I apologize for my lack o knowledge regarding MySQL, but I've installed Filmotech on both my wifes' and my Windows 10 pc. I would like to use a network share as the primary database location (my machine or hers, it doesn't matter). That way I would only have to maintain a single copy of the database. (I can manage access so that only 1 user would be able to open the file at a time, so I'm not worried about that). I simply can't see any way to set the location installation for the database, or how to 'point' to the active database if it's not in the default location. Is this possible with the SQLite installation?

I am hoping that someone can help me, please? I am very new to Filmotech and things don't seem to be happening as I hoped they would.
I am trying to import my movie list from Movie Collectorz to Filmoyech. I have exported the MC list as an .xml file. When I go to Filmotech and try to import it, it can't see anything in the .xml file. I have opened the .xml file and verified that it does contain my list. I will attach a photo showing the result that I get in Filmotech. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
