I am new to this, so please bear with me if this has been answered already.

I have generated a website and uploaded it to my server. When I try to acces the base using the index.php as start page, the site shows nothing but a white page. 

It has been quite a while since i last used this feature, but it worked last time i used it. Probably about 4-5 yeas ago...

Has anyone tried this error and solved it, I would be pleased to learn what you did to solve.
